DIY Army Jacket ♡

Helloo!!

I know I haven't posted in a while on here but there's been quite a few reasons which has stopped me from doing this and concentrating on other things, I'll explain in a post a bit later but for now I thought I'd share with you a little DIY project that I'm currently working on!

.......Three cheers for crappy photos!

I got this army jacket from Download Festival earlier this year, one of the stalls had all army style clothing and I don't know why I just love camo jackets? So I decided to get one for only £5!! crazy!
I decided that because I got it at Download, it would be the jacket that I used to put patches all over which I had wanted to do for a while, mainly band patches.

I completely forgot that I was going to do this project until I was at the Christmas Markets in Manchester a few weeks ago, where I came across the Extreme Largeness stall in the town hall. I'd been in this shop a lot because it's based in Afflecks Palace, but as I said I forgot to do it and now I'm barely in Manchester for long I never ended up going in for my patches!

The lovely lady who ran it was there and they were selling 3 patches for £5 and 5 badges for £2. I decided to get 5 adventure time badges; Finn, Jake, Marceline, BMO and LSP. The patches I got are just 3 of my favourite bands; Iron Maiden (who I had an amazing time seeing at Download) Pixies and the Ramones. I also have a few badges which I've been saving for this which I got from H&M.

I also thought I'd show you a few pictures of my cute little sewing box! I created this as one of my first Uni projects as kind of like an ice breaker task (which I didn't get to be in for because I've been ill for the majority of it!). We had to make a "Pandora's Box", the box had to be things that reflected our personalities and what we were about, I'm actually really proud of mine and decided to use it to store my bits in as it's so cute!

I have a long way to go with this jacket to have it look like I want, but I believe it's one of those projects that shouldn't  be rushed and should have a personal touch influenced by memories or things yet to come. I think in a few years it will be finished and I hope it tells it's own story just by looking at it!

Thanks for reading as always!!
