WHAT IS #NOTD?!

Okay so I was browsing through some pictures of nail art as I'm starting to experiment more and I came across '#NOTD'. I figured from looking through nail art that it's 'nails of the day' but I have never heard it before and was a bit like...whaaat?

Anyway, I was looking for a nail art pen and went firstly to the Models Own website. I've used models own products ever since I first discovered them at The Birmingham Clothes Show in '08.
Although I've not really began to experiment just yet with nail art, I do tend to do my nails a lot and Models Own is by far the best brand I've used! 

They have an array of palettes and different styles including glitter, pearls and pastels, but also have the best coverage out of the products I've tested before and also tend to last the longest, working in retail I need the best hanger/rails/scratch proof nails out there! Especially if I'm going to be doing extravagant designs I don't need to have them scratched off in the first hour by a hanger (or maybe even stress!!!). 

I haven't yet tested the Nail Art pens but I will definitely be doing a review once I've tried them out.

After being distracted by the mirror ball and pastel coloured polishes, I came across "Swatched!". It's a collection of pictures on the website of nail art made using Models Own products. You can select to see the most popular, recent and random pictures and can even submit your own!! What better way to see how the colours turn out! I know of fabric swatches and how amazingly useful they can be but nail swatches! What will they think of next...

Last week I bought some tools from various EBay shops to do nail art, they were cheap but mostly from Hong Kong (EBay tip: If you want things cheaper/in bulk i.e. 99p 10 pack eyelash sets, you will have to wait just that little bit longer).
